Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

We have a number of receptionists/patient service team/ administration staff employed by the practice. Every day they attempt to match the requirements of patients with the availability of appointments and other services. In order to do this, they may need to ask for personal information.

The midwife, in conjunction with your GP, provides antenatal and postnatal care. When you find out you are pregnant, please follow the below link or contact Reception at the surgery to an appointment with the midwife can be booked for you

Community Nurses
Our District Nurse team visit and care for patients confined to their own homes. You will need to be referred by your GP to avail this service.
Healthcare Assistant
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They also assist with monitoring of long term health conditions such as Asthma/COPD and Diabetes.

Paramedics work as part of our team helping us care for our Housebound patients. When you request for a home visit, you may receive a visit by a Paramedic who will assess you and then liaise with a GP to agree on a management plan.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
